Meet our Instructors



Playwright and Producer Cricket Daniel holds a Theatre Degree from UC Santa Barbara and studied Shakespeare in Cambridge, England. Cricket has an extensive background in stand-up and improv and has had her plays produced across the country. Full length Plays by Cricket include COUPLE DATING; LOVE, LAUGHTER AND LUCCI; GINA GALDI AND GUEST; HELEN ON WHEELS; THE NIGHT BEFORE THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS; I SHOT JENNIFER LOPEZ; AND THE LOST VIRGINITY TOUR. Her 10 minute play, BREAK DREAMS, was adapted into a short film and made its world premiere in the 2014 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Her play THE LOST VIRGINITY TOUR National Tour will kick off when theaters open up again. Taylor has been working in the film/media industry for over a decade now. After attending the Los Angeles Film School, he spent several years in LA, teaching for a brief time at his alma mater, working on independent films in a variety of positions and on a few network shows, including NBC's "The Voice" and ABC's "Wipeout". After returning to his native Seattle, he spent time working in a prop shop before transitioning into the world of corporate videography, where he became the Head of Media and Content Creation for MOD Pizza. After moving to Bend, Taylor became a commercial producer at News Channel 21, the local NBC and Fox station, where he's served for over three years now. Taylor is self-described as a "Jack-Of-All-Trades" filmmaker, with experience in almost every department of a set and almost every aspect of the industry. Taylor brings his love of filmmaking and his love of teaching new filmmakers together in his classes


James has  25 years working professionally in the theatrical and motion picture industry; including numerous films, national tours, The San Fransico Ballet, The San Fransico Opera House, and The Golden Gate Theater. He was a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, and has years of experience in a diverse set of skills including: Technical Director, Master Carpenter, Master Electrician, Properties Master, Flyman,  Audio Technician, Set Construction, Theatrical Seamster, Auditorium Manager, and House Maintenance. James has a passion for training others in the importance of safety, flexibility and old school theater.



Julee has specialized in Children’s performance for 20 years. She was a performer at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She is a clown college graduate under the sudo name of Sparkles Sassypants and owner and operator of Whimsy Entertainment for 15 years. She is also the Preschool Director and Cheerleading Director of Oregon Olympic Athletics, and Production Coordinator at Cascades Theatrical Company. Julee has a degree in Dramatic Arts from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts Los Angeles, with dozens of credits in film, television, and theatre. Her latest projects of direction were Cascade's Production of A Christmas Carol and BEAT'S production of Clue.



Persephone is a local multi award-winning screenwriter, playwright, filmmaker, and fiction author. After graduating from SUNY-Albany with a B.A in Theatre and History, she went on to write, co-direct, and co-produce several award-winning short films, and is currently in pre-production on her feature film, The Water King, to be shot in Bali. Besides screenwriting, her plays, poetry, and short stories have been produced/published nationally and internationally. She is the creator of  The Very Fairy Series; a children's picture book series for fans (both young and old) of fairies. The first book in the series, Rosehip: A Very Curious Fairy, is currently for sale on Amazon.


Ann Marie has a Master's degree in Speech Communication and a Master's degree in Management. She loves teaching and has a passion for helping students develop their self-awareness and communication skills.

Janelle Musson

Janelle aka Janellybean, has been a music educator in the Central Oregon community, for over 25 years.  As President of the Central Oregon Songwriters Association, Janelle was voted in by members after winning multiple awards, in several genres, over the course of a few years. She has taught music both in homes and in schools.  She is the founder of Bend Oregon Family Homeschooling and was also a Northwest children’s music and comedy entertainer known as Janellybean. We might also add that you may have heard her voice on the radio or T.V. with advertising branding and Voice Acting as well. 



Jake Woodmansee

Jake started doing comedy in Central Oregon professionally in March of 2003. He has had countless performances at “The Laugh Factory”, “The Comedy Store”, and “The Improv” in Los Angeles. Jake is a producer and founding member of Central Oregon Comedy Scene and Broner Productions. He previously taught comedy for ages 8 through adult at Cada Casa. With over 20 years of improv experience, and almost 20 years of stand up comedy experience he is knowledgeable of all levels of performance as well production and refinement. Mr. Woodmansee’s shows have continued to entertain audiences for so long, as he has never performed the same set twice. One of the things that makes him unique is his ability to perform both in a family clean setting and rated “R" environments. To be a supporter of the special community that Central Oregon possesses he has hosted writers groups and retreats for well over a decade.
