Meet our Instructors
Playwright and Producer Cricket Daniel holds a Theatre Degree from UC Santa Barbara and studied Shakespeare in Cambridge, England. Cricket has an extensive background in stand-up and improv and has had her plays produced across the country. Full length Plays by Cricket include COUPLE DATING; LOVE, LAUGHTER AND LUCCI; GINA GALDI AND GUEST; HELEN ON WHEELS; THE NIGHT BEFORE THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS; I SHOT JENNIFER LOPEZ; AND THE LOST VIRGINITY TOUR. Her 10 minute play, BREAK DREAMS, was adapted into a short film and made its world premiere in the 2014 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Her play THE LOST VIRGINITY TOUR National Tour will kick off when theaters open up again. Taylor has been working in the film/media industry for over a decade now. After attending the Los Angeles Film School, he spent several years in LA, teaching for a brief time at his alma mater, working on independent films in a variety of positions and on a few network shows, including NBC's "The Voice" and ABC's "Wipeout". After returning to his native Seattle, he spent time working in a prop shop before transitioning into the world of corporate videography, where he became the Head of Media and Content Creation for MOD Pizza. After moving to Bend, Taylor became a commercial producer at News Channel 21, the local NBC and Fox station, where he's served for over three years now. Taylor is self-described as a "Jack-Of-All-Trades" filmmaker, with experience in almost every department of a set and almost every aspect of the industry. Taylor brings his love of filmmaking and his love of teaching new filmmakers together in his classes
Maya Gardner has been involved in the theatre world for the past 5 years In that time she has been involved in over 30 shows, though she loves acting she has been in positions throughout the theatre hierarchy such as directing, lighting, publicity, and management. She was a teaching assistant for Summit High Schools Theatre program for 2 years and is excited to teach the art form she loves most to young creators.
Molly has been involved in Theatre since before she was born! Growing up in community theatre in Des Moines Iowa, where she would terrorize the costumers, directors, and actors. From there her and her family moved to Minnesota where Molly went to Mainstreet School for Performing arts. This is where she was able to hone her craft, and found her inspiration for physical theatre and clowning. Molly enrolled in “Physical Approaches” with John Ferguson, where she was awarded her certificate in clowning, and physical theatre. This will be Molly's 5th time directing for Cascades Teen Theatre.
Ann Marie Anderson has a Master's degree in Speech Communication and a Master's degree in Management. She loves teaching and has a passion for helping students develop their self-awareness and communication skills.
