The mission of Cascades Theatrical Company is to entertain, educate, engage and enrich the community by offering high-quality theater performances and educational programs. Come to Create!
CTC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1978. We are a membership organization, where all aspects of our productions, on and offstage, are created by volunteers.
We offer a full season of Main Stage plays performed by the community, for the community. Main Stage productions are selected by a volunteer committee that reads dozens of plays each year with
the objective of selecting a season of seven well-written and appealing shows. The goal is to present a season of balanced genres such as comedy, mystery/thriller, holiday-themed, drama, “classic,” and musical complete with live musical
accompaniment. In addition, we produce performances such as our new Black Box series, SoloSpeak, Triage, our NightVisions series (which showcases local performingartists), and staged readings by local playwrights.
We provide services that support performing arts in the region and thecommunity at large. These include: hosting the Summer Conservatory for the Bend Theatre for Young People; providing the opportunity for other community organizations to utilize the theatre; hosting and sometimes producing short-run theatrical performances by local and out-of-town artists and playwrights; lending costumes, props, and set materials to local community groups and schools; providing casting services to local producers (for example, independent films, television and radio commercials); and offering the theatre as a venue for filming.
